Platinum ruble replica?
2 Attachment(s)
Just scored this one on eBay for $9.98 (total w/shipping). Described as follows:
"REPLICA OF 37.50 RUBLE PLATINUM COIN NICHOLAS II 1902 This is a replica coin of the 37.50 ruble/ 100 franc coin released in 1902 with Nicholas II face on the front and the traditional Russian Eagle on the back. The replicas were minted in 1991 in the Leningrad Coin Mint. The coin looks fantastic and is definitley the best replica of the coin out there these coins have not been touched since 1991 and looks BRAND NEW." So the question is, did I just score a sweet platinum coin for super-cheap, or do I have just some damn base metal slug for $10? Couldn't find any info on this specific coin on the web. Seems there's gold replicas of 1902 10 ruble coins, but... I think this flew under the eBay radar because of the "replica" designation; if I receive a platinum coin for $10, I'm one happy camper. If not, well, I'm only out $10! |
Re: Platinum ruble replica?
You scored a base metal replica ...it is a neat looking item though, much less than zero chance it is an original.
